MCIS Reality Check Assignment
When I did this assignment, I didn't need to change how I wanted to live. My family now lives fairly conservatively, so it doesn't take much for me to know my income, and know my necessities, and what I want, and can afford. I haven't changed my mind about any of my career choices. Having a family will effect my income and way of life because I will have more mouths to feed, and everything will go up, including electricity, heating, housing bills, food choices, and just random necessities of wants of the family.

Also, dentist have to solve many problems, and I would like to put my problem solving skills to work in the real world. The last reason is that about nine out of ten are in private practices, so I would probably be pretty dependent on myself and the work I do.
Three reasons I might not be successful as a dentist is because it takes about 8 years of college and schooling, which is a lot of school. Another reason is because I sometimes have a weak stomach, and if someone came in with extremely nasty teeth, I don't know how I'd handle it. The last reason is that making one mistake could cause a huge problem, and most people care a lot about their teeth, so I'd be in huge trouble.

My dream job would be a dentist. I feel that I could accomplish this goal because I rank fairly well in class rank, get a decent GPA while taking challenging classes, and plan to go to the University of Minnesota. The school of Dentistry is pretty hard to get into, and if I am not accepted to that, I'll apply for the School of Liberal Arts, get my generals done and work hard to get good grades so I can transfer the the School of Dentistry.

ISEEK: Careers in Demand
On this website, I think that most of these jobs are either in the medical area, teaching young children, or random jobs that don't pay very well. Out of all of these jobs I would choose a Dental Hygienist. The expected growth for a Dental Hygienist is 26.7% growth, which is well above average. The wage of this career is roughly $34.26 per hour. To become a Dental Hygienist, you need an associates degree.
